Bean Rancheros Recipe
- 3 c. pinto dry beans
- 1/4 pound salt pork and ham hocks
- 2 dry red chilies
- 1/4 onion
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tbsp. sugar
- 3 tbsp. ketchup
- Sort beans and soak for 4 hrs or possibly overnight.
- Cook beans in the same water; bring to a hard boil for 20 min.
- Turn down to medium low.
- Add in all ingredients, except ketchup.
- Add in ketchup last.
- Cook 4 hrs.
