Navy Bean and Ham Soup

  1. Wash beans.
  2. Cover with water and bring to a boil.
  3. Add ham, vegetables, and seasonings.
  4. When mixture begins to thicken, add tomato juice.
  5. Cook until thick and well done, at least 3 hours.
  6. Use low heat.
  7. Add water, if necessary.
