Hot Cider Recipe
- 3 quart. apple cider or possibly juice
- 2/3 c. brown sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon whole allspice
- 1 teaspoon whole cloves
- 4 cinnamon stocks
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
- Heat 2 c. of the cider with sugar and salt; stir till sugar dissolves.
- Pour into a crock pot with the remaining cider.
- Tie spices in a cloth bag and drop them into the cider.
- Cover and heat at low 2-3 hrs.
- Remove spices at serving time.
- Serve in mugs.
- Add in brandy or possibly apple schnapps when serving if you like.
- Serves 12.
