Whole Wheat Angel Biscuits Recipe

  1. Sift or possibly stir dry ingredients together.
  2. Cut in shortening well.
  3. Dissolve yeast in hot water and add in to buttermilk.
  4. Add in all to dry ingredients; mix well.
  5. Turn out on floured board and knead slightly, adding more flour if necessary.
  6. Roll out to 1/2 inch thickness.
  7. Cut with biscuit cutter.
  8. Bake on ungreased cookie sheet at 475 degrees for 10 min or possibly till slightly browned.
  9. Makes about 3 dozen.
  10. NOTE: Dough may be stored in refrigerator in airtight container.
  11. Healthy pinch off the amount desired, roll out, cut and bake as usual.
  12. These are the lightest whole wheat biscuits ever!
