Jalapeno Tequila Gimlet

  1. Roast jalapenos over gas flame or under broiler until soft and charred.
  2. Stem and chop chiles.
  3. Place chiles and seeds into a jar.
  4. Add tequila and let sit 1 hour.
  5. Strain through fine mesh sieve and discard solids.
  6. Stir in lime juice, agave nectar and 2 cups ice.
  7. Let stand, stirring occasionally, until ice is melted.
  8. Divide among 8 chilled gimlet glasses.
