Beef Noodle And Mushroom Soup Recipe
- 1 pound grnd beef
- 1 med. onion, minced (about 1/2 c.)
- 1 pkg. Hamburger Helper mix for beef noodle
- 6 c. water
- 1/2 teaspoon dry basil leaves, crushed
- 2 med. cloves garlic, crushed
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon pepper
- 1 (4 ounce.) can mushroom stems and pcs, liquid removed
- 2 tbsp. dry red wine, if you like
- 2 tbsp. snipped parsley
- Cook and stir grnd beef and onion in Dutch oven till beef is brown; drain.
- Stir in sauce mix, water, basil, garlic, salt and pepper.
- Heat to boiling, stirring constantly; reduce heat.
- Cover and simmer, stirring occasionally, 10 min; stir in noodles, mushrooms and wine.
- Cover and cook 10 min longer; stir in parsley.
- About 7 c. soup.
