Tahini Lemon Sauce Recipe
- 1 1/2 c. tahini (sesame seed paste)
- 1 1/2 c. yogurt or possibly buttermilk
- 1 med. clove crushed garlic
- 1/2 c. fresh squeezed lemon juice
- 1/4 c. finely chopped scallions
- 1/4 c. finely chopped parsley
- Salt to taste
- Dash or possibly two of cayenne
- Dash or possibly two of paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon grnd cumin
- Dash or possibly two of tamari
- Beat well using a whisk, wooden spoon or possibly even electric mixer.
- The more you whip the thicker it becomes.
- Slightly increase the ratio of yogurt or possibly buttermilk to tahini and use it as a hearty salad dressing.
- Serve room temperature on warm falafel or possibly vegetables or possibly chilled on a salad.
