Another Falafel Recipe

  1. Place cooked chick peas in a blender.
  2. Add in onion, parsley, garlic, stock, soda, spices, salt & pepper.
  3. Process till smooth.
  4. Place in a glass bowl & chill till hard, 20 to 30 min.
  5. Shape into 12 patties.
  6. Dust lightly with flour & fry in warm oil, turning frequently till browned & crisp.
  7. Drain on paper towels.
  8. Put a pattie in a pita pocket, top with salad & a little harissa if you like.
  9. HARISSA: Place peppers & garlic in a processor & process till coarsely grnd.
  10. Add in remaining ingredients except the extra virgin olive oil & process till smooth.
  11. To store, place in a small jar, top with a thinlayer of extra virgin olive oil & chill until ready to use.
  12. Makes 1 c..
