Fruity Granola
- 5 cups old fashioned oats
- 1 cup sliced almonds
- 12 cup sunflower seeds
- 12 cup gound flax seed
- 12 packed brown sugar
- 14 cup maple syrup
- 14 cup honey
- 2 tablespoons canola oil
- 12 teaspoon salt
- 12 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 12 cup dried cranberries
- 12 cup banana chips
- 12 cup dried apricot (halved)
- Preheat oven to 350.
- In a large bowl, combine the oats, almnds, sunflower seeds, and flaxseed.
- In a small saucepan, combine the brown sugar, maple syrup, honey, oil, salt and cinamon.
- Cook and stir over medium heat for 2-3 minutes or until brown sugar is dissolved and mixture is heated through.
- Remove from heat and stir in vanilla.
- Pour over oat mixture and toss to coat.
- Transfer to 15 inch by 10 inch by 1 inch baking pan coated with cooking spray.
- Bake at 350 for 20 to 25 minutes or until golden brown, stirring every 8 minutes.
- Allow to cool on a wire rack and stir in dried fruits.
- Store in an airtight container.
