Fettucini Alfredo

  1. Prepare noodles according to directions.
  2. While waiting for the pasta water to boil, prepare Alfredo sauce.
  3. Cube butter into smaller pieces.
  4. This will help it melt faster.
  5. In a medium sauce pan, combine all the ingredients (except the noodles).
  6. Cook over medium heat and stir constantly as to avoid scorching.
  7. DO NOT boil the sauce.
  8. Adjust your heat if bubbles start to form.
  9. Once butter and cheese are melted, heat for another 2 minutes then keep on a low temperature until noodles are done.
  10. Drain noodles and plate up.
  11. Pour sauce over noodles and serve.
  12. Note: You can substitute freshly grated Parmesan cheese with the grated cheese from the tub found in the refrigerated section.
  13. Adding grilled chicken to this recipe would put it over the top!
