Blueberry Buckle

  1. In a large bowl, cream 1/2 cup butter.
  2. Mix in 1/2 cup sugar. Add egg; mix well.
  3. Sift in 2 cups of flour, baking powder and salt, adding alternately with milk.
  4. Spoon into a greased shallow 9 x 9-inch pan.
  5. Distribute berries evenly over dough.
  6. Combine remaining 1/4 cup sugar and 1/3 cup flour.
  7. Add cinnamon and nutmeg.
  8. Cut remaining butter into mixture.
  9. Break into large crumbs and sprinkle over blueberries.
  10. Bake in preheated 375u0b0 oven for 50 minutes, or until done.
