Okra & Tomato Soup with Refreshing Vinegar
- 4 Okra
- 1 Tomato
- 1/4 Onion
- 1 slice Bacon
- 1 Ginger
- 1 Egg
- 1 tbsp Chicken stock granules
- 400 ml Water
- 1 pinch Salt and pepper
- 1 tbsp Vinegar
- 1 Tabasco sauce
- Sprinkle salt on a cutting board and rub the okra in salt.
- Remove the stems and cut into round slices.
- Beat the egg.
- Cut the onion, tomato, and bacon into 1 cm.
- Grate the ginger.
- You'll need about 1/2 teaspoon.
- Add the soup ingredients to a pot and bring to a boil.
- Add the bacon, onion, and okra.
- There will be some scum, so skim off carefully.
- Add tomatoes and bring to a boil.
- Add a small amount of Tabasco sauce.
- While the soup is simmering, add the beaten egg a little at a time, using chopsticks to mix.
- Heat the soup once more, and it's done.
- I like spicy flavors, so I add more Tabasco sauce before eating.
