For Your Bento Sauteed Spinach with Tarako Salted Cod Roe
- 1/4 to 1/3 bunch Spinach
- 1 thumb's worth Tarako (salt cured pollack or cod roe)
- 1/2 tbsp Sake
- Rinse the spinach and microwave at 500 W for 20-30 seconds in a plastic bag.
- Chill in water, cut into bite-sized pieces, then drain the excess water.
- Combine the tarako and sake.
- Heat vegetable oil (a few drops, not listed) in a pan, and briefly saute the spinach.
- Add the tarako and sake from Step 2, and toss evenly.
- Here it is in my husband's bento.
