Red Coleslaw
- 12 cup cider vinegar
- 12 cup granulated sugar
- 34 cup ketchup
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon louisiana style hot sauce
- 1 12 teaspoons ground pepper
- 12 teaspoon salt
- 8 cups shredded green cabbage (1 medium head)
- In a large mixing bowl,combine the vinegar,sugar and brown sugar.
- Stir until sugars are dissolved.
- Add the ketchup,hot sauce,pepper and salt.
- Mix until smooth.
- Toss the cabbage and mix until cabbage is evenly coated with sauce.Cover or transfer to a lidded container and refrigerate at least a few hours or overnight before serving.
