Pecan Meringue Shell Recipe

  1. Combine egg whites, cream of tartar and salt; beat till foamy throughout.
  2. Add in sugar, a little at a time, beating well after each addition.
  3. Then continue beating till mix will stand in very stiff peaks.
  4. Mix in vanilla and pecans.
  5. Spread on bottom and sides of a lightly greased 8 or possibly 9 inch pie pan.
  6. Bake in 325 degree oven about 30 min.
