Fresh and Fabulous Strawberry Tarts

  1. Bake tart shells according to directions and cool.
  2. Fill cooled tart shells with strawberries.
  3. (Or you can make your own tart shells if you prefer).
  4. Put water, sugar and cornstarch in small saucepan.
  5. Heat and stir until it boils and thickens.
  6. Remove from heat.
  7. Add gelatin.
  8. Stir to dissolve.
  9. Cool.
  10. Put saucepan in cold water in sink to hasten cooling.
  11. Spoon over berries.
  12. Use a pastry brush for easy touch ups around edges that didn't cover when mixture was spooned over.
  13. Finish up with a dollop of whipped cream if you desire.
