South of the Border Dip

  1. Preheat oven to 350F.
  2. Fry ground meats (ground beef and Italian sausage) well and drain.
  3. Add 1/2 cup chopped and sauteed onion.
  4. In the bottom of a long casserole, layer the following: refried beans (spread out and pressed down), meat and onion mixture, taco sauce, chilies, jack cheese.
  5. Cover and place in oven at 350F for 20 minutes.
  6. Let cool somewhat.
  7. Spread on it the sour cream, avocados blended with lemon juice, black olives and chopped scallions.
  8. Serve warm and dip with tortilla chips.
