Crunchy Frostbite Cookies

  1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees .
  2. Combine flour, b.
  3. Soda, b. Powder, salt.
  4. Stir to combine.
  5. Beat 1 cup shortening at medium speed gradually add sugars.
  6. Beating well.
  7. Add flour mixture.
  8. Mix just until blended.
  9. Stir in oats & cornflakes.
  10. Drop by Tbsp.
  11. 2" apart onto lightly greased cookie sheet.
  12. Flatten slightly.
  13. Bake 12-14 minutes.
  14. Cool slightly.
  15. Transfer to cooling racks to finish cooling.
  16. Microwave almond bark & shortening in microwave safe bowl on High for 1 minute or until melted.
  17. Dip the flat side of each cookie into melted chocolate.
  18. Let excess drip off.
  19. Place dipped side up on wax paper.
  20. Let stand 1 hour.
