Almond Poppy Seed Tea Bread Recipe
- 3 c. Flour
- 2 1/2 c. Sugar
- 1 1/2 tsp Baking pwdr
- 3 x Large eggs
- 1 1/2 c. Lowfat milk
- 1 c. + 2 tbsp. oil
- 1 1/2 tsp Vanilla
- 1 1/2 tsp Almond flavoring
- 1/4 c. Poppy seeds
- 1/4 c. Orange juice
- 3/4 c. Sugar
- 1/2 tsp Vanilla
- 1/2 tsp Almond extract
- Blend all ingredients till well blended.
- Pour into greased tins.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.
- Makes 2 large, 3 medium or possibly 4 small loaves.
- Heat all glaze ingredients till sugar melts.
- Brush on cooled breads with a pastry brush.
- Allow glaze to harden before wrapping.
- Enjoy!
