Masaledar Chole/Chola Masala

  1. Roast, all the ingredients of masala till aroma arises and grind to a powder.
  2. (roast without oil).
  3. Heat oil in a pan.
  4. Add the onion paste to the hot oil and saute for a minute.
  5. Add GGG paste.
  6. When aroma arises add the slit green chilly.
  7. Add masala and turmeric powder.
  8. Saute for a minute.
  9. Add the chickpeas and saute again for 2-3 minutes.
  10. Lastly add tomato puree and salt (add little water if required).
  11. Garnish with coriander.
  12. *To thicken the gravy, mashed chickpeas can be added.
