Mum's Hot Dogs
- 6 Bread rolls
- 1 Butter (or margarine)
- 150 grams Cabbage
- 6 Wiener sausage
- 1 dash Curry powder
- 1 dash Salt
- 1 Ketchup
- Slice the roll vertically down the center, being careful not to cut all the way through.
- Thinly butter the bread inside.
- Lightly score the sausages, then boil them.
- Cut the cabbage into strips.
- Pour some vegetable oil (not listed) into a frying pan and stir-fry the cabbage on a medium heat.
- If the heat is too strong the cabbage will burn so be careful.
- Once wilted, add the salt and curry powder, mix it in and give everything a quick stir fry.
- Then stop the heat.
- Add some cabbage into the bread from Step 1, followed by the boiled wieners.
- Cook in the toaster oven.
- The hot dogs burn easily so keep your eye on them.
- Once the bread is a nice golden colour, stop the heat, pour some ketchup over it and you're done.
- Feel free to fill these hot dogs with whatever you like.
- How about some Western or Japanese-style mustard?
