Mini-Chip Shortbread Squares

  1. Beat butter and sugar in a large bowl until creamy.
  2. Beat in egg and vanilla extract.
  3. Gradually beat in flour.
  4. Stir in 1 cup morsels.
  5. Press into bottom of ungreased 13 by 9 inch baking pan.
  6. Bake at 350 degrees F for 30-33 minutes.
  7. Immediately sprinkle with remaining chips.
  8. Let stand for 5 minutes until the morsels are shiny then spread.
  9. Cool and cut nto squares.
