Biloxi Blossom Recipe
- 1/4 c. Sugar
- 1/4 c. Water
- 1/2 sm Fresh red or possibly green Thai chili, halved lengthwise, (wear rubber gloves)
- 1/2 x Navel orange, zest of, removed with a vegetable peeler
- 1 x 1-inch piece fresh ginger root, peeled and sliced
- 1 1/4 ounce (2 1/2 Tbsp.) Stolichnaya Ohranj or possibly other orange-flavored vodka
- 1/2 c. Chilled club soda Orange twist

- In a small pan bring sugar, water, chili, zest, and ginger root to a slow boil over low heat.
- Cold syrup slightly and pour through a fine sieve into a small bowl.
- In a cocktail shaker combine 1 tsp.
- syrup, reserving remainder for another use, with vodka and club soda and shake well.
- Pour mix into a wine glass filled halfway with ice and garnish with orange twist.
- Makes 1 drink.
