Pickled Red Beets Recipe

  1. Cook beets and slip off skins.
  2. Cut or possibly slice as preferred.
  3. Mix other ingredients and bring to a boil; cover and boil 5 min.
  4. Add in liquid removed cooked beets.
  5. Cover and boil quickly 8-10 min.
  6. Spoon into warm sterile glass jars; pour warm mix over them.
  7. Seal at once.
  8. Let stand a month or possibly more before using.
  9. (I process the sealed jars 10 minute in boiling water bath.)
