good old collard greens
- 2 bunches of collard greens
- 1 tbsp of garlic powder
- 1/2 onion diced
- 1 tsp brown sugar
- 1 packages smoked turkey necks
- 1 box of chicken broth (small box) or can
- 1 salt
- 1 dash cayenne pepper ( optional) if u like spice.
- 1/2 onion diced
- place turkey necks in a pot with enough water just to cover meat
- boil for 35 to 40 minutes don't let water boil out
- add onion and sugar and seasonings and chicken broth
- wash greens and cut up into bite size pieces then add to the pot.
- cover and continue to cook for a while on simmer until greens reach ur preferences.
- add more salt if u like.
- let stand.
- serve and enjoy.
