Amy Oh's Very Best Cookies
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 sticks (1 cup) unsalted butter, softened
- 3/4 cup firmly packed light brown sugar
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 3 cups old-fashioned rolled oats
- 1 cup golden raisins
- 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
- Preheat oven to 350F.
- In a bowl whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
- In a large bowl with an electric mixer beat together butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy and beat in egg and vanilla until combined well.
- Gradually beat in flour mixture and oats until combined well.
- Stir in raisins and chocolate chips.
- Drop dough by rounded tablespoons about 2 inches apart onto ungreased baking sheets and bake in middle of oven until golden, about 11 minutes.
- With a spatula transfer cookies to racks to cool.
