Sausage-Corn Chili
- 1 (9.6 ounce) package Jimmy Dean(R) Original Hearty Pork Sausage Crumbles
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 1 1/2 cups water
- 1 (15.5 ounce) can kidney beans, rinsed, drained
- 1 (15.25 ounce) can whole kernel corn, drained
- 1 (15 ounce) can tomato sauce
- 2/3 cup picante sauce or salsa
- Optional Toppings:
- Shredded Cheddar cheese
- Sour cream
- Chopped cilantro
- Cook sausage, onion and chili powder in large saucepan over medium heat 4-5 minutes or until onion is tender.
- Stir in water, beans, corn, tomato sauce and picante sauce. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat to medium-low; simmer 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Ladle into bowls. Add toppings, if desired.
