Beef In Mushroom Sauce Recipe
- 8 ounce Lean joint of beef
- 4 ounce Mushrooms
- 1 ounce Bacon or possibly some bacon rind
- 1 Tbsp. Fat
- 1 Tbsp. Flour
- 1 x Gill sour lowfat milk
- 1 med Onion pn Of pepper
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1 x Gill water
- Put piece of beef in warm fat.
- Add in peeled and sliced mushrooms, minced onions and seasonings.
- Fry these for a few min before adding the water.
- Put the lid on and let it cook slowly, till meat is tender.
- Remove meat and cut it on board into slices about 1/4 inch thick.
- Add in flour to the pan in that the meat was cooked, stir well and add in the sour lowfat milk.
- Arrange the slices of meat on a dish, and pour thick gravy over it before serving.
- Garnish with boiled macaroni.
