Vickys Pears with Mustard Cream Mayonnaise, Gluten, Dairy, Egg & Soy-Free
- 2 ripe pears, peeled, halved and cored
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 4 tbsp mayo from my recipe, Vickys Dairy, Egg & Soy-Free Mayo in my profile
- 1 tbsp gf Dijon mustard
- 2 tbsp cream from my recipe, Vickys Cashew Cream, see my profile vic20adamant
- 1 flaked almonds
- 1 salad leaves
- Brush the pears with the lemon juice to prevent discolouring and lay them on top of the salad leaves, cut side down, on the plate
- Mix the mayo with the mustard and cream.
- Spread this over each pear half.
- Add a tsp of boiling water if the mixture is too thick to coat the pears smoothly
- Toast the almonds under the grill until golden, cool, then sprinkle some over the pears
- Chill before serving
