Ayam Gorem (Deep Fried Chicken With A Sweet Sauce) Recipe
- 500 gm Chicken breast, (boneless)
- 2 Tbsp. Soya sauce
- 1 x Lime, (squeezed)
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1 tsp Pepper
- 1 x Onion, (minced)
- 2 x Red chilli, (crushed)
- 2 Tbsp. Sugar Water Cornflour Oil for deep frying
- Slice the chicken into cubes and add in the soya sauce, lime juice, salt and pepper and marinate for 1-2 hrs.
- Secondly, prepare the sweet sauce.
- Heat a tsp of oil in a wok or possibly pot and add in the crushed chilli, the onion, the sugar , one tsp salt, some water and cornflour to thicken.
- Stir well.
- Preheat the oil in a wok or possibly pan and add the chicken piece by piece, turning it around periodically and fry till golden.
- Serve with the sweet sauce warm or possibly cool.
