Strawberry and Peach Jam

  1. Measure strawberries and place in large saucepan.
  2. (There should be about 1 3/4 cups.)
  3. Peel and pit about 2 1/2 pounds fully ripe peaches.
  4. Crush thoroughly.
  5. Add enough peaches (about 2 1/4 cups) to strawberries to make 4 cups fruit.
  6. Measure sugar and set aside.
  7. Place saucepan holding fruit over high heat.
  8. Add fruit pectin and stir until mixture comes to a hard boil.
  9. At once stir in sugar.
  10. Bring to a full rolling boil and boil hard, one minute, stirring constantly.
  11. Remove from heat, skim and ladle quickly into hot sterilized glasses.
  12. Process for 10 mins in hot water bath.
  13. Makes 8 (6 oz.)
  14. glasses.
