Microwave Scotch Toffee Bars Recipe

  1. Combine butter, oats, brown sugar, corn syrup, vanilla and salt in bowl.
  2. Press firmly against bottom of 8 x 8 inch or possibly 9 x 9 inch microwave safe dish.
  3. Bake in microwave oven on full power for 3 to 4 min in 8 x 8 inch pan, or possibly till bubbling all over.
  4. Turn dish once during cooking time.
  5. Smooth surface.
  6. Top with chocolate morsels.
  7. Heat in microwave oven on Level 6 (roast) for 1 minute, or possibly till chocolate morsels are melted.
  8. Spread chocolate proportionately over bottom crust.
  9. Sprinkle with nuts.
  10. Chill.
  11. Cut into bars.
  12. Store in airtight container in refrigerator.
  13. Yield: 12 bars.
