Chocolate Cheesecake
- 13 cup butter, melted
- 1 14 cups chocolate cookie crumbs
- 3 (8 ounce) packages cream cheese, softened
- 1 (300 ml) can sweetened condensed milk
- 8 semi-sweet chocolate baking squares, melted
- 4 eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- Crust.
- Mix melted crumbs and butter.
- Press on bottom of springform pan.
- Wrap 3 layers of heavy-duty foil around the outside of the pan, bringing foil to top of rim.
- Cake.
- Preheat oven to 300 degrees.
- Beat cream cheese until fluffy.
- Add condensed milk and beat until smooth.
- Add chocolate, eggs and vanilla and mix well.
- Pour batter into prepared pan.
- Place cake in large roasting pan.
- Add enough hot water to roasting pan to come halfway up sides of cake pan.
- Bake cake until center no longer moves when pan is gently shaken, about 50 minutes.
