Simple Cathedral Windows
- 1 12 cups chocolate chips, this can be milk, dark, bakers, etc. depending on your taste
- 1 12 cups peppermint candies, this can be crushed peppermint, spearmint, chopped candy, chopped nuts, coconut, dried fruit any com
- 1 12 cups miniature marshmallows, this can be white, colored, shaped, etc. depending on desired look
- wax paper
- tape, and string to tie it with
- 1 12 tablespoons margarine, can be butter instead if you like, use to coat inside of wax paper
- spread out wax paper in medium sheets, apx 3 sheets 1 1/2 ft long.
- use small amt of butter or margarine to coat inside of wax paper, just towards middle - leave edges clean.
- melt chocolate.
- stir till smooth.
- stir in additive of choice - nuts, candy, etc.
- mixture should be cooled off just enough so marshmallows won't melt.
- stir in marshmallows, enough to coat well with chocolate.
- spoon out apx 1/3 mixture in a line onto wax paper in buttered area.
- fold paper over compress mixture lenghtwise.
- roll firmly enough to keep mixture compressed without coming out of the ends of paper.
- secure paper at middle of seam.
- compress ends slightly & secure them.
- refrigerate 2hrs or more - this can last days wrapped up.
- not sure if it last more than 1 1/2 weeks, somebody always eats it before then!
- but i suspect it last several weeks if needed : ).
- slice in thin slices as needed.
