Whole Wheat Rolls Or Bread Recipe
- 2 cakes of yeast
- 1/4 c. lukewarm water
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 2 c. lowfat milk
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 2 tbsp. shortening
- 2 Large eggs
- 5 c. whole wheat flour
- 2 teaspoon salt
- Soften yeast in water to that has been added 1 tsp.
- sugar.
- Scald lowfat milk and pour over 1/2 c. sugar and yeast.
- Add in flour and salt.
- Allow to rise once to double in size, then shape into rolls or possibly loaves and bake in 400 degree oven for approximately 20 min.
