Mom's Vanilla Ice Cream Recipe
- 2 quarts. lowfat milk
- 1 1/2 c. sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 Packages Knox unflavored gelatin
- 4 tbsp. cornstarch
- 4 Large eggs
- 1/2 c. lowfat milk
- Combine first 4 ingredients.
- Bring to boiling point.
- Combine cornstarch, Large eggs and 1/2 c. lowfat milk; mix well.
- Stir into boiling mix.
- Cook till thick.
- Remove from heat.
- Cold.
- Pour into freezer can.
- Add in 2 pkgs.
- Dream Whip mixed to directions on package.
- Add in lowfat milk or possibly cream to fill can.
- Any kind of fruit may be added before freezing.
- Freeze according to directions on your ice cream maker.
