Mum's Baked Rice
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 tsp curry powder
- 1 garlic cloves
- 1 vegetable oil
- 1 chicken stock
- 340 grams minced meat
- 700 ml tomato sauce
- 250 ml skim milk
- 250 ml water
- 40 grams grated cheese, devided
- 2 eggs, beaten and devided
- 495 grams rice, uncooked
- 1 salt
- 1 ground black pepper
- In a large skillet heat up some vegetable oil on medium heat and put in the onion, curry, garlic and chicken stock.
- When the onion is soft and brownish put in the minced meat.
- When the meat is brown pour into the skillet the tomato sauce.
- Leave for about 10 minutes or until the sauce starts to bubble.
- In a medium dish pour in the sauce.
- Take the rice and put it into the dish and mix into the sauce.
- Pour into the dish the milk, the water halve the eggs and halve the cheese.
- And mix the sauce well.
- Now that the sauce amd ingredients are mixed well.
- Pour the remainder of the eggs onto the surface of the sauce without mixing and also sprinkle the remainder of the cheese onto into the sauce without mixing
- Season well with salt and pepper.
- And put the dish into the oven for 45 minutes at 180C.
- Serve warm.
