Chinese Tacos Recipe
- 1 pound chopped cooked pork, chicken, or possibly beef
- 1/2 c. chopped celery
- 1/4 c. chopped onion
- 2 tbsp. chopped and soaked dry Oriental mushrooms
- Dash of white pepper
- 1 tbsp. light soy sauce
- 1/2 to 1 tbsp. curry pwdr
- 3/4 pound won ton wrappers
- Oil for deep frying
- Combine pork, celery, onion, mushrooms, white pepper, soy sauce, and curry pwdr; mix well.
- Place 1 tsp.
- filling just off center of each won ton wrapper.
- Fold wrapper over filling, forming a rectangle.
- Pleat open edges and press to seal.
- Fry in deep wok heated to 375 degrees till golden.
- Makes 50.
- Serve with dip made of: 1 part Chinese sesame oil, 2 parts soy sauce, and warm pepper flakes may be added if you like.
