Chocolate Chip - Peanut Butter Cookies

  1. Preheat oven to 375F Line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Whisk flour, baking powder and salt in a medium bowl.
  3. Using an electric mixer, beat peanut butter, butter, butter 1/3 C sugar and brown sugar in a large bowl until smooth.
  4. Beat in egg and vanilla extract, then flour mixture (dough will look crumbly), Stir in chocolate chips and candy bar.
  5. Place remaining 1/4 C sugar in a small bowl.
  6. Using 1 1/2 T. dough for each cookie, roll dough between palms to form balls.
  7. Roll balls in sugar and place on baking sheets, spacing 1-inch apart.
  8. Press cookies down into 1/3-inch rounds.
  9. Bake cookies until edges are golden brown, 15-16 minutes.
  10. Transfer parchment paper with cookies to rack and cool.
