Homemade Cinnamon Oatmeal
- 1 12 cups large flake oats (oatmeal)
- 2 teaspoons flax seeds, ground
- 2 12 cups milk
- 3 12 cups water
- 13 cup dried dates, diced
- 13 cup dried apple, diced
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 13 cup brown sugar
- 3 tablespoons slivered almonds, toasted
- In a re-sealable container, combine the oats, flaxseed, milk and water.
- Refrigerate overnight.
- Early in the morning, pour the mixture into a saucepan and add the dried fruit and cinnamon.
- Cook on low for approximately 15 minutes while stirring often.
- Add brown sugar and serve with the slivered almonds.
