Chipotle Hummus (Spicy!)
- 1 (7 ounce) can chipotle chiles in adobo, use 4 chipotles and some sauce (freeze the remainder for the next time you make it)
- 2 (15 1/2 ounce) cans garbanzo beans, drained
- 2 tablespoons tahini sauce
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 7 garlic cloves, medium size
- 1 cup water
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice or 1 tablespoon lime juice
- 1 dash cayenne pepper
- Puree all ingredients in a food processor or blender until mostly smooth (about 2 minutes).
- Add more peppers and salt for additional heat, if desired.
- Serve chilled.
- Store refrigerated wtih olive oil drizzled on top.
