Beef Tenderloin With Blue Cheese
- 4 beef tenderloin steaks, cut 1 inch thick (about 1 pound)
- 12 teaspoon garlic salt
- 13 cup sour cream
- 3 tablespoons blue cheese, crumbled
- 3 tablespoons walnuts, chopped and toasted
- Sprinkle both sides of steaks with garlic salt.
- Lightly coat a large skillet with nonstick cooking spray.
- Heat skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add steaks.
- Reduce heat to medium and cook to desired doneness, turning once.
- (Allow 10 to 11 minutes for medium rare or 12 to 13 minutes for medium.)
- Transfer steaks to a serving platter.
- Meanwhile, in a small bowl stir together sour cream and blue cheese.
- Spoon sour cream mixture on top of steaks.
- Sprinkle with walnuts.
