Mama's Homemade Mac-n-Cheese

  1. Bring a large pot of water to a rolling boil and add salt.
  2. Add macaroni and cook for 4-5 minutes.
  3. When time is up remove from flame and drain.
  4. Place macaroni back into pot.
  5. Preheat oven to 350.
  6. To the macaroni add the remaining ingredients besides the butter and bread crumbs.
  7. Stir until well blended and place into a greased baking dish.
  8. In a small sauce pan, over medium-high heat, melt the butter to liquid.
  9. When fully melted, remove from heat.
  10. Add the bread crumbs and combine.
  11. Spoon the mixture over the macaroni.
  12. Bake, uncovered, for 30-40 minutes.
  13. Cooking times vary by oven!
