Baked Apples With Dried Fruit
- 4 large golden delicious apples or 4 large other baking apples
- 1 cup apple cider
- 14 cup brown sugar
- 1 12 tablespoons butter
- 14 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 14 teaspoon nutmeg
- 34 cup mixed dried fruit (the kind in bag)
- whipped cream (optional)
- mint leaf (to garnish) (optional)
- in a small pan combine cider, cinnamon, nutmeg, sugar.
- bring to a boil.
- add the butter.
- mix and set aside.
- core apples almost to the bottom (do not go all the way out the other end).
- stuff fruit into each apple.
- place in a glass baking dish.
- pour cidar mixture ontop.
- cover and bake at 375*F for 45 minutes basting a few times.
- uncover and contiue baking until sauce looks syrupy.
- place on plate and garnish with mint leaf.
- serve with a dollap of whipped cream.
