Kalamata Walnut Bread
- 1 cup sourdough starter
- 12 cup brine (from the olives)
- 1 cup warm water
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 cups bread flour
- 1 12 teaspoons salt
- 2 teaspoons dried leaf basil
- 1 tablespoon active dry yeast
- 2 tablespoons gluten
- 13 cup walnuts
- 23 cup kalamata olives or 3 dozen pitted kalamata olives
- Put all ingredients except for the olives and walnuts in the bread machine according to your manufacturer's preferred order.
- Choose the dough cycle; add olives and walnuts at the beep.
- Shape dough and let rise until doubled.
- Bake at 375 degrees for 25 minutes or until done.
