Orzo with Parmesan and Basil

  1. Melt the butter over medium high heat.
  2. Add the orzo and saute for several minutes, until the orzo starts to become golden brown.
  3. Add the broth, cover and simmer for about 20 minutes, or until the orzo has absorbed all of the broth.
  4. Remove from heat, add the basil and parmesan, and season with salt and pepper to your liking.
  5. Add more parmesan if you want it to be really gooey and cheesy.
  6. This orzo is SO good.
  7. It will serve 4 very healthy portions (although my honey and I can eat one batch by ourselves piggish, right?
  8. ), but if youre having company, make sure you double the recipe.
  9. Enjoy!
