Root Beer Floats With Caramel Sauce

  1. Mix butter, brown sugar, half & half, and in a saucepan over medium low heat.
  2. Cook while whisking gently for 5 to 7 minutes, until thicken.
  3. Add vanilla and cook another minute to thicken further.
  4. Turn off heat and sprinkle in a pinch of sea salt.
  5. Pour sauce into a jar.
  6. Refrigerate until cold.
  7. Scoop ice cream into tall and wide-mouth glass or canning jar.
  8. Top with root beer to make a float.
  9. Pour caramel on top.
