Apple and Orange Pork Chops

  1. Trim excess fat from pork chops; season lightly with salt and pepper.
  2. Brown quickly in shortening.
  3. Pour from skillet all but 1 tablespoon of drippings.
  4. Saute onion in the drippings.
  5. Combine all remaining ingredients except pork chops with the onion; mix well, then pour into a greased 2 qt.
  6. shallow casserole dish.
  7. Arrange chops on this mixture.
  8. Cover and bake at 350F (180C) F about 45 minutes.
  9. Makes 4 servings.
