The Ultimate Chocolate Chip Cookies
- 3/4 cup Butter Flavor Crisco
- 1-1/4 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
- 2 tbsp. milk
- 1 tbsp. vanilla
- 1 egg
- 1-3/4 cup flour
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 3/4 tsp. bakers ammonia
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- 1 cup pecans, coarsely chopped
- Heat oven 375F.
- Combine shortening, brown sugar, milk and vanilla in a large bowl.
- Beat at medium speed of mixer until creamy.
- Beat egg into creamed mixture.
- Combine flour, salt and baking soda and mix into creamed mixture until just blended.
- Stir in chocolate chips and pecan pieces.
- Drop rounded tablespoonfuls (about 2 measuring tbsps.)
- of dough 3-inches apart onto ungreased baking sheet.
- Bake at 375F for 8 to 10 minutes for chewy cookies or 11 to 13 minutes for crisp cookies.
- Cool on baking sheet 2 minutes.
- Remove to foil or waxed paper on counter top.
