How to Deliciously Boil Edamame
- 1 Edamame
- 1 Salt
- 1 A hand-held fan
- Use kitchen scissors to cut off the ends of the edamame.
- Cutting off the ends helps them soak up the salt.
- Salt the edamame and rub it in.
- Removing any excess fuzz gives them a fresh color after boiling.
- Add salt to plenty of boiling water, and boil the edamame over high heat for 3-4 minutes.
- Drain in a strainer.
- (While boiling, sample one, and adjust the boiling time as desired.)
- Salt the drained edamame, and use a fan to cool them quickly.
- Caution: Cooling them by running them under cold water will reduce the flavor.
